ときがぼくたちのあいをふかめてくれるよ。

kirje3kirje2kirje1Yesterday really wasn't my day. I woke up too early because I got a call from a deliveryman who said that he has a small package for me. I got really excited and quickly changed my clothes and took the package, but obviously they had sent me a wrong lens. Well, we sent some messages and so on but if they mess this up again I'm going to... break something. Yeah yeah, I know that mistakes happen to everyone, but I have too many bad experiences with online stores! When we ordered clothes from asos for my confirmation, they didn't send me the jacket we ordered and just said that they don't have it anymore, oops sorry.

I tried to make me feel better and made a milkshake but I didn't like it that much so I just had to wash up a huge pile of dishes. Some positive things have happened though, I received letters from South Korea (I got some delicious Korean candy, thank you!) and UK and they made me soo happy. Look at that note paper! It makes me kind of sad though, because I find only ugly papers with hideous faded horses and 90's looking roses (sometimes they smell like "roses" too = absolutely horrible). I really need to find a proper shop that sells good-quality and cute note paper. Any tips? Or then I'm going to start making my own paper, at least it would be organic or something but quite brown and unpleasant... But who am I to say that, how do you make paper anyway? Now off to paint, yay!

one step closer, one step higher

This is like an inspirational post or something like that --- just some things I want and like at the moment! Today wasn't that great day so all I've been doing is thinking what I need to my life. Okay, yeah, I washed some clothes too (omg they're still outside hopefully nobody's gonna steal them 'cause then I'd have much less underwear), but anyways:

I want...
wanted1• to dye my hair blue, pink, platinum, silver or anything that looks cool! When I get bored with red, I'll start bleaching and I'd like to try these colours - they fade away quite quickly so if it looks hideous, it's not a major problem.

wanted2• somebody to share my boring days with, somebody to eat chocolate with me when I'm moody, somebody to say something nice about me without lying. As simple as that.

wanted3• collar bone piercings (I'm really going to get these someday), everything with feathers, new eyeglasses, the U.S. flag shirts and everything random stuff; poptarts, an iPhone, a life, nicer eyebrows.
++ I want to start a new project, something interesting like the 365 project. Any suggestions? I'm bored as hell!

i just wanna be free, i just wanna be me

monday1monday2monday3monday4
Today has been numbingly boring and I haven't been doing much at all. My mum made delicious rhubarb + strawberry pie and I bought ice tea, yummy! I know that ice tea has a lot of sugar and other bad stuff, but sometimes it's just the best. Tomorrow I may have to go to library again because I've read all the books I got last time and I have some books on my reading list - if I'm not too busy working. Yeah, I'm just gonna do some cleaning, painting and other boring stuff at home, but at least I get paid that much that I don't have to pay for the new lens. But if it's sunny, it's time to try again to get a tan even though I'm not expecting much... Under this text you can listen to my favourite songs at the moment, especially the one performed by Studio Killers is just brilliant. And the singer has to be Teemu Brunila. Or at least I truly hope it was, because after The Crash died there has been a hole in my heart waiting for being filled.

the redheaded slut

redheadslut1redheadslut2redheadslut3Today I did something I've wanted for such a long time. When we were driving back home, we went to a supermarket and bought two packages of the brightest red hair colour we found, one for my sister and one for me. The results can be seen above, my sister had already red hair so the difference isn't that big, but my blonde hair is really red now. I like it very much and I didn't want it to be any less bright because it's going to fade anyway. Comments? I'm so happy that my hair is something different now, it feels boring to stay with the same old colour.

Midsummer Day

paskaa1paskaa2These days have been boring but tomorrow we're heading back home. All I have done is reading - I've read two books and started reading one. The second book I read was called "Before I die" (written by Jenny Downham) and I really, really liked it. If you're looking for something interesting and at the same time happy and sad, read this! Thanks for the one who recommended this!

paskaa3Yesterday we ordered something I have wanted for so long... Hopefully pretty soon my new lens will arrive! I'm so sick of photographing with this kit lens, so it's definitely worth the money. I do have a 70-300mm too, but one with less zoom is much more versatile. Tonight I'm going to enjoy the beautiful bright night for the last time this summer, after tonight the days are just getting shorter and darker, even though not immediately. It's commonly said that after midsummer it's time to start waiting for christmas - as a joke of course! Happy midsummer to everybody!

just can't get enough

tattoos1tattoos2tattoos3These three days have been quite great, I've been hanging out with my beloved friend (the one who moved to Tampere) because she came back to Pori (craazyy qurl). I'm so happy, the last time we saw each other this often was over a year ago! I don't think junior high was even close to the best periods of my life, but if one good thing I must say about it, it sure is my friends. I still see them and I really have done my best to keep my promise and be in touch with them even though we're in different schools and cities. We all have changed a lot and had issues in the past but I love you all. Friends are the family who we choose for ourselves, god's way of apologizing for our families, like bras and something we'll never forget.

1) As you can see, we got some ink on our skin... Or at least some children's temporary tattoos, but close enough - for now. When I get a tattoo I'm going to have to be completely mental or drunk as hell even though I really want a tattoo. 2) Today my mom woke me up and asked me what I wanted to have to my salad. I hate when I'm sleeping and I get awaken by my parents but this time it was for a good cause. I got pesto chicken, water melon, feta cheese and sun dried tomatoes. Delicious. 3) My hands look big and I'm so fed up with my hair. Complaining about it again and still doing nothing about it. I want to have the same hair as jamjars but I don't know I look so lame. Or a gorilla.

We're going to our summer cottage again tomorrow because of midsummer, but I'm going to force my dad to give me his usb modem at times. And thanks for your book recommendations and comments again, they make my day everyday.

things i love at the moment pt. 234365

tiis1tiis2tiis3
[01] My favourite breakfast: cereal with (natural) yoghurt and tea. I love tea so much, but the natural yoghurt I used this time wasn't so good... I like turkish yoghurt more but it has so much fat that I don't want to eat it. But at least my Earl Grey was very enjoyable! [02] My summer shoes that are so easy to put on. Though I'm a bit confused because there's like a huge black mark on the left shoe. What have I been doing? [03] I just love my new hoodie, I could wear it aaall the time. So soft and comfortable but not shabby - quite perfect! [04] I'd love to read some good books right now, any recommendations? Has anyone read the I love New York / Paris -books or Lolita & what did you like? Now during the summertime I like to read some light and happy books, when it was winter I found myself reading quite heavy and depressing stories. It's interesting how my reading interests change with the seasons.

current lookbook favourites

I love going through lookbook - it's full of inspiring looks and photos and beautiful people! Here are some of my current favourites, hopefully you find them as inspiring as I did. And if you know a lookbook user who's looks are amazing, please share it with us! I would also be happy to see my readers' looks too.

• I freaking love the bracelets, especially the big one! Where can I get one of those?
• The sandals are pretty much amazing too. I don't have any sandals at all, oh my.
• I guess I don't have to mention the hat. Even though I already did. Superb.

lookbookinspiration_2
by Bethany S., 18 year old artist from Los Angeles
• We need to buy a swing to our garden. I mean - look how beautiful it is!
• A loose top & skinny pants are always a good choise. Maybe I should get a translucent shirt like that too.

lookbookinspiration_3
by Oleg P., pretender from Moscow
• Everything in this look is just in a perfect harmony, the neutral colours look really awesome.
• Made me crave for brown hair again. That kind of a warm brown colour would be great in fall!

What did you like? Should I do more of these posts or are they boring and uninteresting? I just felt that I had to share these with you, but it's up to you what kind of posts you want to read!

you are my sweetest downfall

One summer night, out on a flat headland, all but surrounded by the waters of the bay, the horizons were remote and distant rims on the edge of space. Millions of stars blazed in darkness, and on the far shore a few lights burned in cottages. Otherwise there was no reminder of human life. My companion and I were alone with the stars: the misty river of the Milky Way flowing across the sky, the patterns of the constellations standing out bright and clear, a blazing planet low on the horizon. It occurred to me that if this were a sight that could be seen only once in a century, this little headland would be thronged with spectators. But it can be seen many scores of nights in any year, and so the lights burned in the cottages and the inhabitants probably gave not a thought to the beauty overhead; and because they could see it almost any night, perhaps they never will.

4AM1 Last night I sneaked out of the house, took my mom's bike and went photographing with my friend. The city was almost dead despite the taxi cars wandering around the streets. In a park there were roasters crowing and goats that wanted to say hello - I would have wanted to take them home with me, so adorable. A drunken man (not a hobo though) was walking with his dog (named Henri) and a beer can, what a funny couple; I love it when dogs and owners are alike! Someone had passed out on the street and hopefully his friends managed to get him back home. Gosh I love cycling at night and going sleep in the morning, but waking up at 2pm isn't that great. I wish time stopped when I sleep so I wouldn't waste the precious time I have been given.

4AM2My mom finally bought this Four reasons hair powder, my friend said that it's good so I can't wait to test it! This is just a small bottle but I know my mom quite well and if she falls in love with it, she's going to buy the biggest bottle they have ever made (her hairspray bottles are like... huge). This Finnish brand has been redesigned some time ago and I love their new style! And some of their products like Silver Mist have been praised by bloggers, and I personally respect some bloggers' opinions more than magazine editors'. What is your favourite dry shampoo / hair powder product?

the stars, the moon, they have all been blown out

arbulla 5am, sun is rising, listening to florence + the machine, should wake up at 9am. this is what i call summer.
5am5am25am3Last night I couldn't sleep and then I found myself photographing at 5AM. I really love staying up late and doing whatever I want when everybody's sleeping and summer nights are just utterly beautiful. A thing I love about holidays is that it doesn't matter if I can't sleep because I don't have to, but when I have school, I must sleep or my whole day will be a big mess. Of course we need routines and sensible sleeping patterns but sometimes it's nice to just relax and not care about anything.

At the moment I'm so pissed off because one of my facebook friends who is a hardcore believer hopefully pretended that he doesn't understand why it is a shame that lesbian/gay couples can't adopt children. Where should I begin?! Obviously he can't change his mind but I'd like to hear about even one case where having two mums or dads have caused bad things to the children. So what do you think about the hot topic - do you support LGBT adoption? Stupid Finland, all other Nordic countries have legalized gay adoption.

Ellie Goulding's acoustic versions are the best - I think she's better on live than on her cd's. Her voice is perfect for simple guitar & piano accompaniments.

HELSINKI shopping

shob1carlings, cheap monday

shob2mtwtfss, cheap monday

shob3carlings
So these things I bought in Helsinki + food and some postcards. Like I said, there were so many sale clothes and all these clothes were on sale. And you know, when something is cheap as hell, you just can't leave it there, right? Now I'm a little upset because I didn't buy the coolest braces ever... I know I should've taken them with me!

1. The sweetest hoodie ever! It fits well and I love the stripes and the material. The price was only half of the original! Maybe now I can throw away some old and too small hoodies.
2. New jeans! They fit pretty much perfectly, I love the light colour and there's always room in my closet for a new pair of jeans. Cheap Monday makes the best skinny jeans. Period.
3. Just a basic tricot shirt, but the sleeves are skinny and long! I hate it when I try to find basic shirts and the sleeves are too short and too loose - the reason why I don't have any shirts like that. So definitely a great find.
4. Weekday had two racks of Cheap Monday t-shirts that were on sale, and a white t-shirt is an essential for living. The most comfortable top during hot weathers.
5. & 6. These half-priced striped t-shirts were just an impulsive purchase and it seems that stripes were the style of the day. For some reason they look great, maybe the sailor inside me is taking over the regular me.

The postcards I bought are for postcrossing, I wanted to restart that hobby again! The first card is going to the Netherlands, I can't wait to get cards too. Any postcrossers out there? What do you think of my shopping haul?

last friday night

hell33hell22hell11Finally back at home and ready to post something! So, yesterday we went to Helsinki and it was sooo much fun. Our train left the city at 6:20 and there I sat after I had slept for only an hour, gosh I can't believe how I managed to not to fall asleep! We woke up before 5 o'clock, I've never woken up that early, wow. We went shopping and then to Linnanmäki and luckily the amusement park wasn't crowded and it rained only once!

There were great sales in the clothing stores in Helsinki, so I bought something too, obviously. I'm going to show them later, now I'm going to do something and be productive.. or not.

PS! Pitää vielä oikein erikseen kiittää VR:ää loistavuudestaan... Pori-Helsinki -junan myöhästyminenhän ei riittänyt, vaan meidän Tampere-Pori -paluujunan vaunu puuttui kokonaan. Sama homma on näköjään jatkunut tänäänkin. Meidän juna ei sentään ollut täynnä ja saatiin uudet paikat, mutta vaikka kuinka yritän olla VR:n puolella, niin se silti tuntuu olevan huonohkon maineensa arvoinen. Huh huh.

Vintage mickey

artsi1artsi2t-shirt h&m, cardigan jc, shorts DIY, shoes converse
This is what I wore today - I decided to dress up properly even though I didn't go anywhere. The shorts were a small DIY project of last summer and I also had a bunch of bracelets on my wrist. I've been using these new shoes a lot lately, mostly because I want them to look more worn. In my opinion converses shouldn't look like you have just bought them, when the white rubber parts get a little dirty and scratchy they look like real converse shoes. Comments?

Tomorrow I'll go back home to Pori and almost right after that to my friend's place for a sleepover. I'm so excited, and I'll see my mum again! Hopefully she brought something for me from Sicily... And I edited the layout a bit again, hope you like it! I'm going to try to keep it like this now.

chocolate disco

brownays
We have a great recipe for delicious brownies and today I decided to share it with you. These are definitely not for those who are trying to lose a couple pounds, but if you feel like you haven't got enough calories today, you should definitely try these!
• 185 g butter
• 185 g dark chocolate
• 3 eggs
• 3¼ dl sugar
• 1 dl flour
• ¾ dl cocoa powder
• 80 g milk chocolate
• 80 g white chocolate
• butter for greasing if you use a cake tin

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
2. Melt the butter and the chocolate together.
3. Beat the sugar and the eggs and add the butter-chocolate mixture. Stir together with the flour and the cocoa powder.
4. Chop the chocolates and add to the batter.
5. Put into the oven for 35-40 minutes.
6. Enjoy!
So as you can see, the recipe is pretty easy but if you have anything to ask, feel free to do so! And please tell me what did you think if you tried making these.

swan song

The belief, now shown to be incorrect, is that mute swans sing a beautiful song just before dying.
jouts1Today these two were hanging out near the shore and of course I had to take tons of photos of them. I think that swans are very beautiful creatures and I wish I saw them more often. Though I have no idea whether they are whooper swans or mute swans, but do you know?

jouts3Tomorrow should be a rainy day and I'm so happy. This awful weather has been here for too long so the rain is very expected. I can't remember the last time when I have laid in my bed and listened to raindrops hitting the roof! But hopefully on thursday it won't rain too much in Helsinki because I'm visiting the city with my friends then. I've been trying to plan what I should buy there if I get enough money, so here we go:
♥ film for my camera (actually I should buy it before the trip)
♥ magazines that we don't have here in Pori
♥ postcards
♥ umm... clothes!
So nothing special but still important. What do you have on your shopping list at the moment? And is there anyone who's going to photograph with a film camera too?

vessa = toilet

diydiy1diydiy2
This is what our cottage's outhouse's door looks like now. Yeah, it is pink. Me and my sisters were told to paint it and they said that we can use all our creativity - and we sure did! So, then we went shopping and found this amazing metallic pink spray paint and got an idea what we should do with it. The door's very untraditional and some may think that it's not suitable for summer cottages, but we like it. Even our nan did! What do you think? Now I'm gonna go to sauna and then watch Scary movie 3 and then sleep, can't wait for tomorrow because we're going back home. Yay!

every teardrop is a waterfall

taasmokki1taasmokki2taasmokki3taasmokki4
I'm in love with Coldplay's newest single Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall, I love Coldplay's music and this is a gooood song. We're at our summer cottage again but thankfully we have an access to internet here, so I'm in peace. I really want to have a jet ski (our cottage neighbours have two), they're so cool and it would be so much funnier than sitting in our boat whose engine is broken at the moment. My dad took it to a repair workshop and hopefully we get it back soon. Today I went rowing with my sister, and I must say that we were so good at it... Well okay, we maybe did hit a rock but it was just because we were rowing so fast.

And all of you who love ducks or just have a great sense of humor, check this blog out, I love it!

happy birthday to my blog

Photobucket
As you can see, I edited the layout yesterday and it's very different now! I have wanted to make this kind of a layout for ages, way before I saw other blogs using this type. In my opinion the sidebar was too heavy and it had too much stuff in it. Now the things are under the posts or they have their own pages. Please tell me what do you think! Is this better or worse than the old layout? I like this very much even though I still have to make some changes.

Yesterday was the birthday of my blog which means that I have been blogging for three years now, hooray! I almost forgot about this whole event but yesterday it just came to my mind. I hope there is going to be another three years, or what do you think?

6/08/2011

i love rebecca bloomwood

aamokki1aamokki2aamokki3The hot weather is still here and yesterday we went to our summer cottage again because near the sea it's windier which is pretty much perfect at the moment. Now we're back at home and even though it's 10pm it's still way too hot. I'm going to move to the north pole. Somehow we managed to be pretty productive today and for example we made rhubarb-strawberry juice. It turned out quite sweet but still good. Thanks Ida for the idea! Me and my sister also made thin pancakes for dessert and we both ate like 13 of them. They were tiny, but still... If you don't eat, you'll die!

Yesterday I bought a bottle of Vitamin Water. I had never tasted it before and it was different than I expected, but I quite liked it! Have you tasted it? What did you like?
